The LensCheck™ system is a cost-effective solution that meets your production and prototype lens quality assessment needs. As a leader in image quality testing equipment, Optikos is pleased to offer this compact, efficient, and easy-to-use quality control tool. LensCheck™ is equipped with patented Optikos® VideoMTF® image analysis software, featuring real-time MTF testing and analysis capabilities, enabling manufacturers to quickly and reliably assess incoming products and minimize the risk of defective complete components.

    Glare Index (VGI) Kit

    ·A black dot surrounded by a uniformly bright background.

    ·For VIS/NIR testing (400nm - 1000nm).

    ·The sphere can rotate, allowing the black dot to be off-axis, with a maximum rotation angle of ±40 degrees.

    ·Stray light measurement is conducted in accordance with the ISO 9358 standard.

    ·Using a reference lens for verification, the accuracy can reach 0.1%.

    ·Sphere size options (selected based on focal length): 6-inch sphere, 10-inch sphere, 20-inch sphere.

    ·It can be provided as an upgrade option for the existing LensCheck system or as a standalone system.


    Glare Spread Function (GSF) Upgrade Kit

    ·The functionality of the LensCheck VIS system has been expanded to measure the glare spread function (GSF) of the tested lens according to ISO 9358 standards.

    ·The measurement module includes the following hardware upgrades: a 40X 0.65NA objective lens with a precision pinhole field diaphragm; and a light guide adapter equipped with a diffuser and a reduced exit aperture.

    ·For VIS/NIR testing (400nm - 1000nm).

    ·The dynamic range of broadband visible light test spectra is 10⁻⁶ or higher.

    ·It is only available as an upgrade option for new or existing LensCheck VIS systems.


  • Black box enclosure

    When the LensCheck VIS system operates in a dark environment, eliminating all stray background illumination, its measurement accuracy and repeatability reach their optimal state. This is particularly crucial for high dynamic range measurements, such as the Glare Spread Function (GSF). The LensCheck housing is specifically designed to meet this need, eliminating the need for a dedicated darkroom for lens testing.

    ·Create a dark environment around the lens under test to optimize measurement accuracy and repeatability.

    ·Eliminate the impact of airflow generated by the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system in the laboratory or the fan filter unit in the clean room.

    ·During the installation of the lens and calibration, full contact with the instrument is allowed.

    ·The most compact dimensions (approximately 1050 mm in length, 815 mm in width, and 560 mm in height when opened).

  • Standard finite conjugation

    The standard finite conjugate platform can be constructed as an independent test bench solely for finite conjugate testing, or it can be added as an upgrade option to the infinite conjugate LensCheck VIS system. When used as an upgrade option for the LensCheck system, the image analyzer, image analyzer mount, and lens mount from the LensCheck system need to be removed and installed onto the finite conjugate platform. Through a simple upgrade using the OpTest 7 software, the computer of the LensCheck system can run both testing devices.

  • Small-sized finite conjugate platform

    The small-sized limited conjugate platform is designed to measure the image quality parameters of lenses specifically tailored for near conjugate imaging (with an object distance less than 300mm). It can be configured as a standalone test bench or added as an upgrade option to the standard LensCheck system.


    ·Suitable for testing lenses used in medical imaging and other surgical applications, cell imaging systems, low-power microscopes, finite conjugate objectives (objective lens/tube lens pairs), detection or short TTL machine vision optics, and macro lenses.

    ·20X and 60X physical re-projection objectives.

    ·The object has an electric X-axis and a manual Z-axis.

    ·500mm mounting rail, adaptable to various testing devices.

    ·Adjustable LensCheck tower mount with manual X, Y, Z-axis platform and C-mount lens plate.

  • Adjustable conjugate upgrade kit

    The adjustable conjugate upgrade kit can be added to new or existing LensCheck systems, enabling a system to perform both infinite and finite conjugate testing on small lenses. Unlike other finite conjugate platforms provided by Optikos, the adjustable conjugate upgrade kit allows testing of both positive and negative object conjugates (real and virtual images of the unit under test), with an object distance range from -1m to infinity and then to +1.2m.

  • Hot module

    The LensCheck™ Thermal Module is an accessory of the LensCheck™ VIS Lens Testing System, designed for testing lenses within a specific temperature range, typically from -40°C to 105°C. This thermal module features two chambers, one for small lenses with a maximum field of view* of ±80° (TC - 1010/TC - 1011) and another for lenses with a maximum field of view of ±40° (TC - 1050). The recently added TC - 1065 chamber enables the testing of larger lenses, broadening the scope of automotive lenses eligible for characteristic analysis.

    The actual field of view depends on the specific installation characteristics of each lens


    The modular system comprises the following components:

    ·Hot chamber (multiple options)

    ·Sky hook (hanging hose)

    ·control manifold

    ·Julabo Presto temperature controller (multiple options available)


    Measurement types include:

    ·Change in back focal length (FFL)

  • Upgrading of long-wave infrared EFL 150mm refractive collimator

    ·50mm clear aperture, 150mm focal length

    ·Replace the standard 355mm focal length long-wave infrared refractive collimator

    ·Long-wave infrared lens for shorter focal length

    ·The focal length range of the tested lens is 2.5 - 25mm


  • Upgrade of focal length reducer for long-wave infrared collimator

    ·When installed on a long-wave infrared 150mm collimator, it can reduce the minimum value of the entrance pupil diameter and focal length range of the tested lens

    ·Entrance pupil diameter range: 0.5 - 2.5mm

    ·Focal length range: 0.5 - 2.5mm

    · Equipped with a double-door that can be opened to both sides, allowing the use of a 150mm collimator when the reducer is not in use; it also serves as a safety guard when the lens under test collides with the reducer

    The factory calibrates and verifies using a small pupil detection lens
