Focusing on AR/VR optical testing and grating manufacturing pain points, launching specialized solutions

In the research and manufacturing process of AR/VR devices, the imaging quality and grating performance of optical modules are directly related to user experience and product performance. In response to the long-term challenge of quantifying imaging quality in the industry, Beijing Xinjiaguang introduced Optikos' advanced optical testing instruments to customers, including modulation transfer function testing system, wavefront aberration analyzer, and lens performance testing platform; In addition, the ESSENT OPTICS spectrophotometer covers a test band of 185nm-5200nm and supports 0-85 degree transmission and 8-85 degree absolute reflection measurements, helping customers achieve precise control throughout the entire process from research and development to mass production.

At the same time, in response to the key links in AR waveguide manufacturing, New Jiaguang demonstrated to customers the advanced processing technology of Scia inclined surface relief grating (SRG):

  • Direct etching waveguide technology: using reactive ion beam etching (RIBE), precise control of constant tilt angle and etching depth is achieved through substrate tilt, which can obtain a flat tilt angle as low as 60 ° (relative to the normal) and achieve excellent coupling effect.

  • Nanoimprint master etching technology: Through reactive ion beam trimming (RIBT), local etching is achieved using a focused wide beam ion beam, supporting changes in tilt angle and groove depth on each device, providing maximum freedom for grating design, and achieving uniform illumination in the eye box area.
