The PSM alignment microscope is currently used for aligning and aligning lenses within a lens group, but the application by a quantum computing company has made us realize that it is more helpful for quantum electrodynamics (QED) researchers compared to traditional optical users, as they have all the degrees of freedom required for perfectly aligning optical components on the desktop.
